Hey guys! So glad you have made it back to my page this week. Over the past few weeks we have talked a lot about different areas of exercise, but we haven’t talked about why you should exercise. In my own personal journey I have found that not only do I enjoy the weight loss, but also all of the other benefits that come along. For most people it is hard to get the motivation to start exercising, especially if you are comfortable with your figure. However, exercising brings along so many other benefits.
Some lesser known health benefits of exercising are that it helps with the control of your blood sugar. It contributes to a better mood and creates endorphins. This leads to mental health and wellness. Exercise can contribute to better sleep and sexual health. Studies show that increased physical exercise could lead to a better brain, which could potentially lead to better grades and performance in school. Ending with my favorite benefit, which is the social aspect of exercising. If you’re like me then you absolutely love exercise classes and loathe working out by yourself. Exercise for me not only allows energy from the actual workout, but also an energy around a connected community that seeks to achieve common goals.
Whatever you seek to gain from working out, just remember there are a number of benefits tagging along. It may be hard to start at first, but setting goals and remembering them throughout will help motivate you. Start small and work your way up. Try to incorporate small forms of exercising all throughout your day, this could be parking farther away or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Just remember those goals and you may find some unexpected benefits along the way!!
